Here are the bare bones plans for Katie’s funeral. Decisions about memorials have still not been made.
Rosary: Tuesday, July 8th, 6-8 PM, Ben Brown Memorial Funeral Home
707 N. MacArthur BLVD, Irving, TX 75061
Actual start time for the Rosary is 7PM.
Funeral Mass: Wednesday, July 9th, 10AM, Holy Family of Nazareth Catholic Church
2330 Cheyenne Street, Irving, TX 75062
There will be a reception following the mass. Reception location is pending.

My beloved sister, Katie passed away Sunday night, June 22nd. We are more sad than I can adequately put into words.
Thank you so much for your prayers and kindness. Please keep the prayers coming.
Because of the process involved in cremation, we do not yet have a date for the funeral mass. I will post here when I know more.

Hello all, this is Katie’s husband Matt. I wanted to thank everyone for their continued prayers for Katie. They really mean a lot to us! I have set aside time daily at 8:00pm to say a Rosary and Chaplet of Devine Mercy, and I know many have joined in. If you would like to join us in prayer at 8:00pm you are most welcome to do so and may say any prayers of your choosing.

Remember that Seinfeld episode with the Mandelbaums? How they absolutely would not go down without a fight? That is what I have been thinking about as Katie goes through this horrible process.
Katie has had a few more bad days than good recently. But she is still fighting. Please keep praying for her, and for all of us. We really need it right now.

Our time in Lourdes is nearly at an end. Beautiful place, beautiful people. Pray for a miracle.

Katie is my little sister. She is an amazing wife, mother, sister, friend. You name it, she’s good at it. She also has cancer. Mucinous Adenocarcinoma. Please pray for her and her husband and 1 year old little boy.
Some Stats:
First tumor found and removed in fall of 2011. Had a beautiful baby in spring of 2013! Many surgeries in the 12 months that followed. Is on her 2nd round of systemic chemo now. Periodic updates to come.
